Tapping Tips: What Do I Say While Tapping? 12/07/2010
One of the most common challenges that my new clients (and new EFT-ers in general) face is figuring out what to say while tapping. Just about everyone remembers the points and the "formula", which we commonly call "mechanical tapping". However, many people are afraid of mistakenly using the "wrong words". That's where a little practice goes a long way! (Usually, this space would be devoted to my monthly Tapping Protocol, but this time, I want to give an overview of the problem. If you'd still like to receive the Tapping Script for this month, just e-mail me at sanja@EFTguru.com, and I'll be happy to forward it to you.) The most important thing is to RELAX and try to connect within. Plug into your intuition. Here are some questions to get you started: What bothers you? How is it interfering with your life? When did it start first? What is it reminding you of? Where in your body do you feel discomfort and/or pain? Are there any colors, sounds, or textures present? How would it all look, sound, and feel like if everything was just fine? Imagine that you're talking to a trusted friend or relative. Whine, if you have to... But, keep tapping - it works! Quite honestly, chances are you won't use those feared "wrong words". And even if you say something "bad", the worst thing that would probably happen is that you'd get no relief from your problem, not that you'd make things even worse... Successful, productive tapping is a skill, just like learning how to read, swim, or ride a bike. at first, it feels really awkward, we feel clumsy, and it takes "forever". Eventually, we get pretty good at it and it can even be fun. It also helps to say things out loud, at least at first. That way, you get to engage as many senses as possible, and the whole experience is more intense and beneficial. Add Comment |
