Tap Your Procrastination Away 05/11/2010
For some of us, achieving our goals - including good grades - seems to be out of our reach. We see happy, organized people around us, crossing things off their lists and striving for more, but we don't know how to achieve the same. We procrastinate! Maybe our 1st grade teacher scolded us in front of the whole class and we simply don't feel good enough any more. Or, we may not feel motivated enough - maybe those were someone else's goals to start with... Or, maybe we're too bored. Maybe those other people are smarter than we are, or luckier, or it's easier for them for whatever reason. And maybe we are just waiting for that "perfect" moment to get started. And than we panic! Too much to do, to little time... Anyone ever pulled an "all-nighter"? We never really wanted to live that way, but we got CONDITIONED. Our subconscious mind got programmed for that kind of repeat experience. How do we break the cycle?! Try using this EFT protocol: On a scale 0-10, with 10 being as high as possible, identify your current guilt about your weight. That's your starting point. Karate Chop:"Even though I feel so upset with myself because I slacked off and now I'm in a time crunch, I give myself permission to relax right now anyway. "Even though it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to finish my project on time, I choose to love and accept myself anyway." "Even though I really don't feel like doing this silly tapping right now, and there's too much to do anyway, I choose to accept all of my feelings, even the most negative ones, and I give myself permission to be focused and optimistic anyway. Eyebrow: I'm so annoyed with myself! Side of eye: This is so embarrassing... Under eye: How can I possibly calm down? If needed, you can go and do a new round of tapping. Good luck! Add Comment |
